Historical Legacy and Establishment

The journey began in 1999 when the Department of Management first proposed MIS as a new academic stream. In 2004, the University of Dhaka formally approved the proposal, and on April 12, 2005, Professor Dr. Abdul Mannan Choudhury was appointed as the first Chairman. Since its establishment, the department has been a trailblazer in bringing technology-driven business education to Bangladesh.
